If you want to keep your toothbrush in tip-top shape, then it’s best to take great care of your toothbrush! Your toothbrush is a tool that can get worn out, dirty, and frayed, so it’s best to do all you can to keep it in the best shape possible. You can do so by doing the following things:
–Rinse your toothbrush: Rinse your toothbrush with tap water after each use. Rinsing the tool will wash away the lingering toothpaste, saliva, and bacteria.
–Let your toothbrush dry: After you are done brushing, place your toothbrush in an upright position and let it air dry. This is important because letting the brush air dry will help keep the bacteria and harmful particles away from living in your toothbrush. Moist environments are breeding grounds for oral bacteria.
–Take care of your toothbrush while traveling: Try to keep your toothbrush in a plastic toothbrush container while traveling. Keeping it in the container will help protect the bristles and will keep them from being smashed or flattened. However, please do not put the brush immediately back into the container after brushing. It will need to dry first.
